    Yay for Technology

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 18, 2008, 12:59 AM
After nearly a year of artlessness I have managed to get my scanner to talk to my new laptop, which I got back in October. So hopefully now that I've cut out the gawdawful temperamental monster that is my desktop(which I woefully named Hatsuharu - not my best idea) I'll be able to update a little more often then once every seven or eight months. lol.

My name laptop has been dubbed Tatl, after Navi 2.0 in Majora's Mask, so hopefully the worst that will bring is constant 'are you sures?' from the Vista OS. Ah Vista, you are not really a new OS, you are only XP 2.0.

Also new the technology front - I was forced to upgrade to PSPX2, and at the end of August I acquired both an ipod nano and a new camera. Lots has happened since I was last really keeping up with things here it seems. ^^

I think I'm going to make a new journal layout to warm up PSPX2. It's time for a change.

Oh yeah, and Happy New Year!

    Bit of Clean Up

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 11, 2007, 11:57 PM
You know what? I didn't think ruthlessly cleaning up and organizing my gallery could feel so good. I feel just a bit lighter and happier for doing it.

DA ended up just one more site that I couldn't fit into my life these last few months. New art coming, as soon as I next have at my scanner. If I can find it. Under all the clothes and junk. Yeah... :paranoid:

It's snowing. Wonderful fluffy white snow. And Westies? They become ninja in snow, I swear.

    Boston

Journal Entry: Sat May 12, 2007, 10:54 PM
Probably obvious from the influx of photos, but I went on a trip to Boston just this April. My other journal entries about it make it sound like I hated, but I actually sorta liked it there - it just wasn't 'omigod so cool!' And it was so different from everything I know that I couldn't help but joke about how silly it all seemed to me.

That and The T scares me. A lot. Dear god, oil that sucker! It sounds like it's going to fall apart. o.O

... "Oh look! A hill! :DD"

Anywho... It was fun. Would you believe I found a book in Boston by an Alaskan author that I could not find up here? yea...

Lately I've been trying to get back into art. I just haven't felt like it since I lost Bramble. Art funks are no fun, but right now I don't have much better to do with my laptop out of commission for awhile - it had a bad run in with some tea.

Well I'm off to find a better usericon. It's about time I updated it, eh?

Ahhh! I'm getting behind on my 'thank yous' for +favs and comments and it's driving me nuts. I don't get alot yet I can hardly keep up with it and it's not something I'm good at to begin with!

So, to make my life simple, THANK YOU. ALL OF YOU.

    Google Quotes

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 23, 2006, 6:04 PM
On my google homepage I have the 'quotes' thing up because... I love quotes. :)

Anyway, there was an interesting one there today about art -
"Art is either plagiarism or revolution."
    Paul Gauguin
    French Post-Impressionist painter (1848 - 1903)

So, which side are you on? < /matrix-y >

My writing meeting today was a minor let down. I brought home made cookies... and nobody showed up. Well, one person did but then she left. I stayed for a few hours to make sure nobody else was going to turn up before I headed home. I did manage another 2k on my new project in under an hour and a half. Pretty good for me. ^^

I should wrap packages and watch a movie, but all I want to do is surf the 'net and play video games. *sigh* I'm terrible.

    Art

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 17, 2006, 11:26 PM
Ya know what has been bothering me for a long time? My art style. I can't decide if my art belongs in the 'anime' catagory or not. It is clearly not the standard big-eyed anime style but that was my base and I use anime/manga art conventions in the way I draw and I study those how to draw manga books... But it just doesn't look like anime. Some manga, sure... but does it belong in the anime catagory?

As you can see, it is driving me nuts. It would be nice to have all my art in one catagory, but right now I'm handling it on a picture-by-picture basis.

On a related note - I am still confused why this one picture I only sorta liked when I uploaded it a year ago, and now an completely annoyed with because of all the mistakes, keeps getting favorites over my newer stuff. Then the comments... 'personal meaning'? bwahuh? It just... confuses me because the picture sucks so much... and is annoying because my newer art gets completely ignored for my older art. *pouts and goes back to sketching*

And on the flip side I got six favorites is three days. That's like... a record. Thanks you guys! *hugs*

    Pudding

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 13, 2006, 11:55 PM
How come nobody, on any of those sceince shows, ever compares the earth's crust to that 'skin' pudding gets?

It just turns the whole world into happy-fluffy-bunnies doesn't it?
We are living on pudding and the moon is made out of cheese! =D

Hummm... I want pudding, but I don't have enough milk for any of my mixes. :/ Suppose there is some tapioca in the fridge, but it's not the same as butterscotch.
